Took the Leap – Bought Crypto

This is going to be a funny story and I am just beside myself. As you know I have been contemplating starting a business or side hustle for some time now. It is possible my boat has sailed already on that topic, but anyhow. I was also considering investing in Cryptocurrency, the latest fad and all. Well, I have been reluctant up until a few days ago. I discovered that my son bought some cryptocurrency through crypto.com back in January of this year. He bought Shiba Inu and I believe he said Ether, but not 100% sure on the last one. I was in shock, because back when I was young and single, I would have never second-guessed myself on investing in crypto and more than likely would have invested back in January as well. As you are aware of my job situation, it is not all that stable since last year. Anyhow, so he tells me he invested $100 back in January, and well, you can do the math he has a nice chunk of change. He told me only just a few days ago because he wants to expand his investments and asked me for some help. First of all, I am extremely proud of him for taking the leap, and second of all asking how he can grow it or diversified it, made me even prouder.

The thing is, I wish I had that same intensity I had 20 or 25 years ago. I think all this reluctance I carry was built over these last several years, but if it did not exist I would have been deep into some type of side business by now. I can’t dwell on the past, so I decided to jump into cryptocurrency, and I bought some Shiba Inu and Bitcoin as well – not a whole lot, but enough. I guess that could mean that I am a step closer to jumping into something else, you know that Drop Shipping business I keep talking about.  I keep getting all kinds of ads from companies offering plans, options, and things to build you a profitable business – for a nominal fee of course. I need to decide and do something, well at least today I modified my blog a bit, and I think I will upgrade to their business plan, so I can get a few more bells and whistles for my site. One step at a time, whether it took me a while to take it, I took it at least – right.

Another event happened to me this past Friday, I think I mentioned, maybe not, but all of the management from the Supervisor to the Manager to the Director of my division either got fired or quick. So, the CEO of Compliance was scrambling to set up a pecking order. Anyhow, I found out that since I am supporting a division that is in the process of being sold, they decided to move me over to that division completely. It is a weird situation, but I worked for a company, and the division I am in supports the rest of the company. The company decided to move me to the division that is being sold – not sure what that means yet. As of today, Monday, October 18, 2021, I report to someone new, which I will be meeting tomorrow. I might have a better understanding of where I will be.

Back to my cryptocurrency thing; I want to thank my son for giving me the courage to jump into something, that I know I should have done a while ago, but did not. I think this is a sign of things to come, it is looking a little brighter and with some possibilities that could change my life – I will keep you posted. As always, I thank you for your time, and I leave you with this thought, “Yes it took me a while to take the leap to do something, but that is ok because as long as I finally took that step it means I am moving forward. So, if you are in that same boat, let me take your hand, we got this”.

Strange but true, I was born in San Salvador, as an abroad US citizen. It sounds strange, but you see, my mother was 5 months pregnant and happen to be visiting San Salvador. She slipped and fell in a pool and well, I was born. I am a twin, but unfortunately, he did not make and I did. My mother’s side of the family happens to be well of, and I had the opportunity to live a nice life early in my childhood. You know, private school, servant, nice home, and vacations. Things change when my mother decided to follow my father to the United States and well, that is where my story begins. I started a blog a while back, but life sort of hit and I left it behind, but now as I am a bit older, I decided I needed an avenue to share my experiences with others, while at the same time allowing me to open up and talk like I am on someone’s couch, I guess you could say. This blog will be more like an open book, created by experiences that I have had throughout my life. Experiences that many could relate to and what I did or how I handled it, you know after the fact. You never know there just might be a piece of information, idea, an option that someone could use and it would help them through the experience. Just remember these are my experiences, things I have been through, work through, and lived through – it does not mean I am right, but it does not mean I am wrong – it is simply an experience.
