It’s Hard Sometimes

I work a full-time job, 40-60 hours a week; sometimes those hours consist of log in the evening to get stuff done outside the office hours. Now, I also run my newly formed dropshipping business, and let me tell you, it isn’t a 2-hour-a-day job, at least not at the beginning. Now, maybe possibly later it will turn out to be simply a few hours a day, but even if you think about it and you get 100 orders a day, it does take at least 5 minutes to process each order. I say 5 minutes because even though it is a simple click of a button, you have to make sure the customer information transfers over correctly, and of course that the right product is ordered; especially if there are variants of the product – ok maybe 2 or 3 minutes. So, you end up spending possibly up to 8 hours a day processing orders – think about it. I break up my processing into two-time slots, morning and evening. On top of that you must market or expose the business/website to the world. So, I usually post twice a day on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, and set up or review the ads, which usually takes me about 15 minutes or so, since the supplier or suppliers provide quite a bit of the marketing material and it is just a matter of adjusting the ads. Plus, also I need to log in at least every two days to review my Google ads and make adjustments as needed, which means another 30 minutes for both days. I also create blogs for my new dropshipping site, making sure that the posts relate to my products, but provide good information.

On top of this, I have a family, and a family does take time out of your day. Getting ready for school, helping with homework, helping cook, cleaning afterward, and of course clean on the weekends, and other household chores such as laundry, home maintenance, and of course not to forget the family need some attention as well. There are days that I am totally exhausted and I am not as young as I use to be, so it can take a toll on me. Now wait, we also need to consider all the holidays; for example, I just decorated our home with thousands of lights, and outdoor decorations, which took me at least 6 hours to do – so it can get hard some days. I am not complaining, just stating the facts that, trying to make something out of our lives whether it is going to school, starting a business, starting a family, or anything for that matter, will always take work. I think that the sooner you do it in life, the easier it is on your body and mind. I think when we are young, we don’t really think about the future so much and live in the day which is fine, but once age starts to creep up on you, you realize that I should have done something sooner rather than later. I know it is tough to make teenagers or young people understand the importance of getting ready for retirement because all they care about is having fun, but if you at least put 20% of your effort, while you are young, into thinking about the future you will be in a better place when you hit 40, 50 or 60 – just saying.

All I know that is this post is about me saying that, “It’s Hard Sometimes”. The days start to blend and sometimes I forget to take my lunch from work, or I realize that I needed to start dinner and it is past the time. It gets hard, but somehow, I am still getting up each day and doing it all over again.

As always, I am speechless on thinking that you took the time out of your day to read my post. It is truly appreciated and I hope the best for those of you that took the time to read my post, and with that, I leave you with this thought, “Yes! Life can get hard sometimes but remember you made it this far; you can make it all the way – I believe in you.”

Strange but true, I was born in San Salvador, as an abroad US citizen. It sounds strange, but you see, my mother was 5 months pregnant and happen to be visiting San Salvador. She slipped and fell in a pool and well, I was born. I am a twin, but unfortunately, he did not make and I did. My mother’s side of the family happens to be well of, and I had the opportunity to live a nice life early in my childhood. You know, private school, servant, nice home, and vacations. Things change when my mother decided to follow my father to the United States and well, that is where my story begins. I started a blog a while back, but life sort of hit and I left it behind, but now as I am a bit older, I decided I needed an avenue to share my experiences with others, while at the same time allowing me to open up and talk like I am on someone’s couch, I guess you could say. This blog will be more like an open book, created by experiences that I have had throughout my life. Experiences that many could relate to and what I did or how I handled it, you know after the fact. You never know there just might be a piece of information, idea, an option that someone could use and it would help them through the experience. Just remember these are my experiences, things I have been through, work through, and lived through – it does not mean I am right, but it does not mean I am wrong – it is simply an experience.
