Anchor and WordPress – Not Connecting

I recently upgraded to a business plan on WordPress and with that came a few additional features as well as some existing features no longer working. I was using Anchor to convert my post to audio, which was great because I was able to simply click convert, select a voice, and da-da I just linked the audio to my post. Anchor of course would import directly from WordPress. The thing is when I upgraded to a business plan, I believe Jetpack was installed, and somehow that causes Anchor and WordPress to no longer connect. So, unfortunately now I cannot just import my post into Anchor and conveniently convert it to audio. It looks like I will need to record from Anchor and then link the audio to the post.

Not that it is a big deal, but the convenience to import to Anchor, then convert the text to audio was pretty awesome to have. I am not sure if there is a fix to this issue, but as far as of today it does not work. With that said, I will need to start recording my posts myself and link them to my blog. I am considering doing what I had planned which was to post, record in my voice, and then link the audio in my post, and update the post.

A Little Upset

I am just a little upset that when you have something going well and then you upgrade thinking it would be better, only to end up back to being good. You hope that whenever you upgrade that it upgrades whatever you are trying to make better, not upgrade some features and downgrade other features. It almost becomes like a whole new learning process, having to adjust what features you do end up with, stinks. So, as busy as I am with life, dropshipping business, my blog, and a few other side businesses it ends up being a long day for me. I believe I will start with the Thanksgiving post and see how that goes since I will be heading over to one of the parents’ homes from a child in my wife’s daycare for Thanksgiving. It will make for an interesting adventure, to say the least. I will of course go with a positive attitude, with holiday cheer, and see how it goes. I will post about it – come back.

With that, I leave you with a thought, “Thanksgiving along with any holiday can be stressful, but just remember that you have been through a lot this past year and a half, and whatever happens in the gathering is nothing compared to what you’ve been through. Enjoy your family and friends.” Wishing you and your loved ones a great Thanksgiving!

Strange but true, I was born in San Salvador, as an abroad US citizen. It sounds strange, but you see, my mother was 5 months pregnant and happen to be visiting San Salvador. She slipped and fell in a pool and well, I was born. I am a twin, but unfortunately, he did not make and I did. My mother’s side of the family happens to be well of, and I had the opportunity to live a nice life early in my childhood. You know, private school, servant, nice home, and vacations. Things change when my mother decided to follow my father to the United States and well, that is where my story begins. I started a blog a while back, but life sort of hit and I left it behind, but now as I am a bit older, I decided I needed an avenue to share my experiences with others, while at the same time allowing me to open up and talk like I am on someone’s couch, I guess you could say. This blog will be more like an open book, created by experiences that I have had throughout my life. Experiences that many could relate to and what I did or how I handled it, you know after the fact. You never know there just might be a piece of information, idea, an option that someone could use and it would help them through the experience. Just remember these are my experiences, things I have been through, work through, and lived through – it does not mean I am right, but it does not mean I am wrong – it is simply an experience.
